RIP Mr. Oliva

It has been brought to the attention that a WISCO legend has passed away. Carmelo F. Oliva previous owner of Rib Mountain, now Granite Peak, in Wausau, WI. has died at the age of 77. Rib Mountain was the premier mountain in Wisconsin,, and produced many "WISCO" legends. I know that my mentor, Rick Elliott was a Rib Mountain native and is one of the best skiers I know. You will be Mr. Oliva, enjoy the untracked powder that awaits you in the next life! Our hearts our out to your family, though we know that you had a great life, and know that you are reserving first chair for your friends and loved ones, when that day comes.
